I first knew Melanie when she was 9 years old. Already, there were the signs of what was to become her charismatic personality and of her talents.Melanie was quirky, sensitive, fun loving and I believe, a romantic. She scattered sunshine wherever she went. Her mimicry was enjoyed by all who met her as was her delightful voice. Melanie had presence and especially on stage. The audience would be hushed as she sang and that is something I will never forget. Remembered by June Necchi
